At a time when the retirement security of California families is under attack, CalPERS firefighters can make their voices heard by participating in the CalPERS Board of Administration election.
The California Public Employees' Retirement System has mailed out ballots for its 2009 runoff election to fill the Position A "Member at Large" seat on the CalPERS Board of Administration.
California Professional Firefighters has endorsed J.J. Jelincic in this important runoff.
J.J. Jelincic is a CalPERS Investment Officer and former president of the California State Employees Association. His background with CalPERS gives him the expertise needed to insure that your retirement benefits are protected.
J.J. has been a passionate, committed advocate for protecting retirement security. He was on the front lines in the fight against Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's 2005 attack and has been vocal in his opposition to the latest round of pension attacks. www.jjforcalpers.org.
PLEASE VOTE -- BALLOTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY DECEMBER 4TH. CALPERS ACTIVE AND RETIRED MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE.
Ballots were sent out to CALPERS MEMBERS beginning Nov. 9, 2009. Ballots must be received or postmarked no later than December 4, 2009 in order to be tabulated. Ballots will be tabulated in December.
