About the Lakeside Fire Protection District
The Lakeside Fire Protection District in San Diego County provides fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to approximately 65,000 residents in a 55-square mile service area. The district is primarily suburban residential but also contains a core commercial "downtown" area, rural-agricultural areas, and some light industrial occupancies. The district also has significant wildland interface areas. Lakeside firefighters operate from four (4) stategically located fire stations staffing four paramedic engine companies, one rescue company, two wildland engines, and two advanced life support paramedic ambulances.
The Lakeside Fire District is proud to have been an original participant in the Heartland Mutual Aid pact and continues to operate the longest running paramedic program in San Diego County.
